The world’s leading illustrated non-fiction trade publisher, is looking for a self-motivated Publicity Manager to join their children’s PR and Marketing Team.
As a result of team expansion, this is a newly created role. Initially, our client has decided to hire into a 12 month FTC. However, they are open to the potential successful candidate becoming a permanent member of staff. Therefore, this role would suit an ambitious and confident publicity professional.
In this role, you will plan and implement eye-catching, sales driven publicity campaigns maintaining excellent stakeholder management throughout the campaign. You will generate effective press coverage across all media and events, thus driving sales and raising brand awareness.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of generating stand-out PR coverage and events, ideally at a trade publishing house.
Key experience and skills:
- Campaign Management – Proven experience independently planning and delivering a portfolio of publicity campaigns for books
- Media Relations Management – Possesses a strong contacts list across both trade and appropriate press channels, and knows how to maximise them
- Internal Liaison – Working with internal departments to communicate plans and progress
Successful applicants will have a proven track record of delivering in all of the above key responsibilities. Strong candidates may also have some specific children’s, illustrated or nonfiction experience.
